Garden Decorating Ideas
Whether you're staging a home for sale or doing a redesign, or just decorating for yourself, the garden is a unique and special place. Some homeowners go all out in
decorating their front and back yards, and others don't do much of anything.
But whether you have a lot of money to spend on your garden, there are some simple things you
can do that don't cost much money and add so much to the whole ambience of your yard.
Rock sculptures are an easy way to bring an Asian feeling to your yard. There's something about these elements that bring a feeling of serenity. You do need to have
an assortment of small boulder type rocks in varying sizes to do it right. But anyone can create these. Don't make them too high if you are not cementing them in place.
You don't want any of these to tumble over and hit someone or seriously injure a small child. So they should be placed in strategic areas where children do not play.
Another idea is to bring in an arbor, an archway, that separates two parts of your garden or
yard into separate sections. Plant vine-like plants nearby and encourage them to weave their stems and branches in and out of the supporting trellis. Any time you add a gate or
"entry" element to your yard, you will make visitors seek out the area behind it. There's a kind of unspoken mystery about the area behind the gate or trellis and it
just begs to be visited.
Wood arbors complement any greenery and bring a natural element into any outdoor space. Instead of the trellis, add a coordinating fence. It really makes the whole
area feel luxurious and adds mystique.
