Spring Color Palettes
Get rid of the dark colors of winter, because spring is the time for light, sparkle and bright colors. Here are three exciting spring color
schemes you
can try. While one normally thinks of spring colors as being pastel, you can also choose bold colors to give the room a punch.
1) Add plenty of white to this royal blue palette
as part of your spring decorating colors. Cream is a beautiful backdrop for
royal blue, keeping the color palette from becoming a marine theme. Even a touch of very light, light lavender helps keep the whole look contemporary but not nautical. Add some flowers and
some antique prints, and you've got a classic style that says "spring decorating
colors".
2) Add white to this
spring palette of pink, tan and gold. Choose the lighter version of one color
for your background color. Let the pink and antique gold be your accent colors. Sprinkle white everywhere,
especially white porcelain. The room with sparkle. It's an amazing color palette.
3) Choose a gold with more yellow for this spring color palette. Turquoise is an underused color
most of the time but can be quite effective when you want the room to "pop". Keep the turquoise subdued in larger items, but come full throttle in small accessories for that
added dramatic spring palette punch. Notice how this palette is equally
divided between strong, bold colors and soft pastel colors. Remember that one
color should dominate in the room. Use the most dominant color on elements in
the room that you definitely want to draw the attention to.
Be daring. Try new ideas. Spring color schemes can add the perfect touch to help you enjoy the warmer months to come.
